"THE SPARE ROOM"
What if something wonderful arrived in your mailbox every month? A real letter. From a woman a lot like you. Full of faith, love, hope, and the gentle reminder that God is not finished with you yet.
That is exactly what Margaret sends.

“Sitting in my Grandmother's chair in my own spare room, or under the old oak tree, I am praying for you as I write. This is a space carved out just for you—a place to rest, to breathe, and to remember.”
— Margaret
My hope is that when you see your envelope in the mailbox, you feel a spark of anticipation. A reminder that you are part of a community of women who are still learning, still becoming, and still finding treasures in places they once overlooked.
The door to the spare room is standing open.
Come in and see what God has been saving for this season.
The letter from "The Spare Room" arrives in your mailbox each month like a letter from a trusted friend. Inside, Margaret shares the ordinary moments of her life—the questions she wrestles with, the small victories she celebrates, the lessons she is learning, and the unexpected ways God continues to meet her in this season. Through her letters, you may find pieces of your own story reflected back to you.
Perhaps you have spent years caring for others, building a career, raising a family, serving your church, or carrying responsibilities that once filled every corner of your days. Now you find yourself standing in a different season, wondering what God might have waiting for you here.
The Spare Room was created for women who sense there is still more to discover.
More purpose. More joy. More growth
More of God's presence.
Each month, a handwritten-style letter, a creative act of worship, and gentle opportunities for reflection invite you to slow down and pay attention to the life God is still unfolding and has been saving for this season.
Running beneath each month's letter like a root system is a developing story called The Story of the Tree. It is a meditation on faith, growth, and the surprising grace of an ordinary life told through the journey of a tree from seed to oak.

Margaret spent thirty-one years managing an office and raising children who needed permission slips. She is not a theologian, a speaker, or someone who has ever considered herself particularly creative or spiritually impressive.
She is, however, a woman who sat down under an oak tree one hot July morning, did absolutely nothing for an hour and a half, and came away with the quiet conviction that she had been in the presence of something sacred.
This is her year of paying attention. And she'd like you to come along.
